Bringing their hot and funky grooves through Adelaide in October is the Crump Cake Orchestra! The 18 piece funk/hip-hop big band is set to create a buzz around town like no other when they present “Beat Feast” at the Nexus Centre on October 6. The Crump Cake Orchestra burst onto the Adelaide scene during the 2012 Fringe Festival to rave reviews and the good times have just kept rolling since their debut appearance!

FREE TRIBUTE BAND SHOW AT THE ESPY IN OCTOBER!
Avid fans of Cold Chisel are in for a treat next month when Melbourne-based tribute band Gold Chisel in the Gershwin Room! The band takes punters on a full musical journey that will have the room singing along and dancing to all of Chisel’s hits. Supports are in the form of Basketcase, a three-piece Green Day concept band and Van Hagar, a Van Halen tribute act.

Melbourne’s Dick Diver will be returning to Sydney for his first show in the city for 2012 next month, headlining a packed bill of local favourites at FBi Social. The Melbourne four piece have produced some seriously exciting and rare music in a blend of 70s punk, scratchy 90s indie rock and just about everything else to be associated with both genres. Anyone who was listening to electronic/drum and bass music in 2007 will remember the release of Commix’s debut record, Call To Mind. The Cambridge duo’s place in drum and bass history was assured from the opening bars of the record and from then, their status as electronic producers to be watched was confirmed. Now, with a new sound and their sophomore album in the works, Commix are taking the next step in musical maturation; changing their name to CMX, the duo is promoting a new style of music, less reliant on samples and the familiar drum and bass formula.
